Golf Carts

The City of Frontenac recognizes the desire of its citizens to use golf carts and UTVs on our streets. In 2013, golf carts and UTVs were legalized in Frontenac and are frequently seen around town as the weather warms and the ballparks are full. Below are basic rules for licensing and operation.

Golf Carts and UTVs may be operated on streets with a speed limit of 30 or less.

Golf Carts and UTVs may be operated from sunrise to sunset.

Drivers must obey all traffic laws.

No standing while the golf cart or UTV is moving.

Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and liability insurance.

All golf carts and UTVs must display current registration issued through the City of Frontenac.

All golf carts and UTVs must display a slow moving vehicle emblem visible from the rear.
